One method we use to have all accounts secured is to isolate completely every single account. You might think that in most hosting services are secure, and only you have access to your account. Unfortunately this is not usually the case.
Providers who offer shared hosting frequently have security issues that can cause problems to the entire server, and this usually happens because one of the account has a non-secure (a non-updated) application. Most of open-source softwares like Joomla and WordPress are easy target for hackers. In a standard shared server when one of this accounts is attacked the hacker is able to attack all other accounts on the same server.
We receive daily requests from costumers that have their account with other services, asking us if our server are secure since their accounts have been hacked multiple times.
On our secure hosting we use a custom chroot isolation technology. With this solution even if an account as a vulnerable application, the other users on the server cannot be attacked through the web server or the cron services as is the case in a normal shared hosting environment.
This makes SupportHost a very secure hosting provider. If you’re tired of those providers who don’t put security on top of their priority list check our hosting accounts.
